Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the impact of Coronavirus

Every day in October around 160 people will hear the words ‘you have breast cancer.’ This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we need your urgent help, so Breast Cancer Haven can be here to support people affected by breast cancer.

A breast cancer diagnosis doesn’t just take a physical toll, the emotional impact is devastating. The coronavirus pandemic has only made things that much harder and is having a huge impact on people with breast cancer, with delays in diagnosis, postponement of treatments, and in some cases cancellation of treatment altogether.

Through the experiences of some of the people that we have helped, this Breast Cancer Awareness Month we want to highlight the devastating impact of the coronavirus pandemic for people with breast cancer. Hear their stories here.

Breast Cancer Haven relies entirely on voluntary donations to deliver our services as we receive no income from the Government. The pandemic has seen our income drop by more than 50% in the last six months and we urgently need your support to continue our services.

Text HAVEN to 70660 to donate £5.
